Though dance is the dominant mode, these five nights full of short and collaborative pieces incorporate all types of performance tropes to showcase the interdisciplinary direction increasingly favored by emerging choreographers. So while Anna Marie Shogren’s work incorporates comic and theatrical elements, Leanne Schmidt deploys odd props and improvisation, and Barbie Diewald does something more like modern dance with fleeting moments of narrative.
