Throughout Darlings’ A Perfect Trip, the second full-length from one of Brooklyn’s best-kept secrets, frontman Peter Rynsky rattles off lines like, “And so you stick it to the man, if there’s any way you can” so listlessly that it reeks of a parent’s basement. Or, more specifically, a twenty something’s struggle to move out of it. In a turn from the blatant rowdiness and “sticking it to the man” sentiment of their first album, here it’s mixed with the weariness of growing up.
