The reception toward Love This Giant, the collaborative record from Talking Heads legend David Byrne and St. Vincent’s lovely leader Annie Clark, has been sort of surprisingly cold—talked about as an idea that seemed better on paper than on headphones. In the flesh? There’s still some great potential, especially given the full brass section they’ll bring with them, plus the Talking Heads and St. Vincent tunes that have peppered set lists leading up to this show.
