In this blaxploitation throwback, Negress gets out of jail in 1974 and returns to Soulsville, U.S.A. to find his town overrun with gangs, corrupt cops, pimps and drug dealers, who are taking advantage of an apathetic citizenry. He hesitates between forging ahead alone and saving the community that shunned him.
