When they were called Dive, Cole Smith’s Beach Fossils offshoot played their spaced-out but locked-in motorik constantly, at seemingly every venue in town. Now, with a slight name tweak to DIIV, and an increased profile due to the polished strength of new songs like “Doused,” they are a little more choosy. This Brooklyn Bowl set should be full of songs from their upcoming record, Oshin (which presumably had to change its name from Ocean). The rest of the bill is appealingly eclectic but notable mainly for the inclusion of Killer Mike, whose just released R.A.P. Music is easily the most acclaimed hip-hop album of 2012.
