Have you noticed the trend towards exhaustively photorealistic drawings based on widely circulated news images and obscure archival documents? Drawing Center curator Claire Gilman did and assembled this 13-artist show of drawings based on photographs, including D-L Alvarez's pixelated rendering of iconic photos and Emily Prince's ongoing archive of drawn portraits of every single American soldier killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
