When music is made by married couples, there’s always a little extra speculative intrigue involved. Especially when the spouses in question make folk as cold and strange as Brooklyn’s Family Band. On Kim Krans and Jonny Ollsin’s second LP, Grace and Lies, her voice, rich and smoky, lies in the center of Ollsin’s big, empty spaces. His sparse guitars do not quite evoke a warm cuddle, exactly. Toronto songwriter Jennifer Castle and Brooklyn four-piece El Dorado support.
