In honor of its fifth anniversary, Cake Shop keeps its run of feel-good, high-energy bands going tonight with one of the most feel-good, high-energy ones yet, maybe even ever, in all the world. Needless to say, Fang Island pretty much nails the bombastic, sonic Mountain Dew sound that made bands like the Mae-Shi, Dan Deacon and Anamanaguchi so popular in recent years. It's looking like this will be their last hometown show before heading off on tour with the Flaming Lips, so best to live it up — they wouldn't want anything less of you.
