TIFFANY

Style: Super Vintage mixed with touches of high and low fashion.

Why Vintage? I began buying vintage clothing with my mother as a child out of necessity. We'd shop the local thrift and Salvation Army stores whenever we needed "new" clothes. As I grew older, I realized buying vintage clothing was a great way to create a one-of-a-kind wardrobe—filled with versatile and interesting pieces. I then started collecting because I love the history and nostalgia represented by each piece.

The goal one day is to grow my collection to a point that I will be able provide wardrobe and styling to theater, film, and photo shoots.

Favorite Piece: A gorgeous twin evening set from the mid 60s. It is a Kelly Green empire waisted mini cocktail dress with a matching overcoat. The bodice of the dress is a silk velvet and the satin tulip skirt has large lime green chiffon flowers circling the hem. The overcoat, in a complimentary Kelly Green Satin, is an A-line silhouette, with 3/4 length sleeves. It has a collarless neck line and bow closure. I bought this years ago from a blessedly ignorant man at the Chelsea Flee Market (formally located @ 17th st. & 6th ave.) who sold it to me out of a black hefty garbage bag for $20.

Check out the slideshow below to see a few examples of Tiffany's vintage style.
