In September, the theme of this monthly event is disorientation, which pervades the work of the readers: two first-time novelists (Kathleen Alcott, Courtney Elizabeth Mauk), two celebrated writers (Brian Evenson and Joshua Henkin), and J.E. Reich. Alcott's book is "a coming of age story about a close trio's nebulous and tortured relationship," curator Penina Roth tells us. "And it includes a somnambulist!
