German Measles, Reading Rainbow, Eternal Summers, Family Trees, Rescue Birds

We could spend a good five minutes endorsing each of these bands, so for now we’ll focus on one of the lesser-known outfits: Family Trees. They were a Northside Festival find for us (thanks showcase presenters!), a Brooklyn band we now hate ourselves for not having found out about earlier, as their lo-fi pop sounds like an eerie version of Real Estate if they had recorded in 1950s. Listen, and it makes sense.
