The 2nd Annual God on Film Festival is the best — and only — place in New York to see some of the top spiritually themed shorts and documentaries from filmmakers around the world. And if all else fails, it’s free. This year’s festival is happening on Monday, July 11, starting at noon. Selections include Eric Cooper’s Jesus 2000, Harper Philbin’s The Freezer Jesus, Josh Staub’s The Mantis Parable, Tony Dean Smith’s Reflection, and about 20 others. The Manhattan Center is located at 34th Street and Eighth Avenue. Both the day of screenings and the awards ceremony are open to the public and free of charge, but if you feel like repenting, there are suggested donations for each reel of films.
