Joe Sitt
The Coney Island land baron had big, gaudy plans for the People's Playground--which have all been shot down by City Hall. Still, Sitt won't give up his land, which has forestalled any real progressive development in a neighborhood that desperately needs it. The nicknames are obvious: Bull-Sitt, etc.
