The Men
Marlon Brando's first film also considers the plight of the disabled war veteran, as Brando and fiancee Teresa Wright face the prospect of a sexless marriage. "In The Men and Born on the Fourth of July, the audience is left with the stereotype that these men are not capable of fulfilling sexual relationships. Only Coming Home gives the lie to this," notes the BFI's education guide.
