Hott Tickets!

It is with a heavy heart that I write this installment of Hott Tickets, for it turns out it is also the last installment of Hott Tickets you will ever find in these pages. I know what you're thinking: "Where ever will I find a list of four to six shows happening over the next fortnight, accompanied by semi-bitchy blurbs that always sound like they're written by a guy who would rather be watching TV or listening to records from the comfort of his own desk chair or car?" Well, good news: you can find all that, and much, much more, online every day at thelmagazine.com. As you may have noticed, we relaunched our website back in late-April, and we're quite proud of it — we've amped up coverage of pretty much everything: art, film, news, politics, literature, television and, yes, music. There's a music blog on the site as well, where you'll find commentary on recent developments in the music world, as well as live show reviews, photos and all sorts of other things. It seems to make sense, then, that this column should be moved online, where I'll have considerably more than 1/2 page of space to tell you how you should be spending your week — and that's the other thing: it'll be weekly (on Mondays), as opposed to biweekly, which means that, when you factor in all the extra shows I'll be able to write about, you'll actually be getting at least 2.5 times as much Hott Tickets as usual. So I'm trusting, perhaps foolishly, though I really hope not, that everyone who may have enjoyed reading this thing over the past four-plus years will follow me online. Please do, and please say hello in the comments. Until then, I will be weeping uncontrollably because I hate when things change.
