The heat sucks, dude. It isn't as bad as down south, but at least there everything is geared towards dealing with it. All houses have central air and you drive everywhere so you're not out in it as much. Here you're walking everywhere, which sucks. Anyway, to answer your question, stay inside. I wish New York had more swimming pools, that's what I did before I moved here. I was a lifeguard every summer and I just swam when I got too hot or when there weren't bikinis to look at. There aren't really pools here, and the ones we have are always crowded. The beaches suck too.

No offense, but this heat isn't so bad. Have you ever been to the Middle East? I grew up there, and if you want heat, go there, my friend. This is pleasant! I want to wear a jacket. But stay indoors as much as you can, and hydrate often. Drink a lot of water and wear clothing that is light but covers your skin to protect it from the sun. You should be careful, you're a very pink man. You'll burn.

Go to the movies, though shit's playing, or to the beach, though Coney Island is a nuclear waste zone. Get a girl and rub ice all over each other, that'll beat the heat and a few other things. Stay in the shade, don't go outside. Drink a lot of cold beer. Buy the strongest AC you can and then a fan that moves the air through your apartment. Keep your undies in the freezer. Eat ice cream. Will you buy me a Mister Softee?
