Ice Skating Rinks in NYC

Rockefeller Center
The Timeless Classic, expensive. About two out of every three skaters are actually acting in or awkwardly pretending to be in a romantic comedy. $15, $7 skate rental.
Fifth Ave at 50th Street

Chelsea Piers Sky Rink
Not quite as cinematic, but it’s indoors — for those rainy day ice skate cravings you always get.
$12, $5.50 rental.
23rd St and West Side Hghwy, Pier 61

Central Park
Cheap views that even the most jaded New Yorker can’t deny.
$12, $5.50 rental.
Near 64th St, eastern side of the park

Bryant Park
At last. Free Ice skating and wireless internet. Together.
FREE. $7.50 skate rental.
42nd St, between Fifth and sixth Ave.

Prospect Park
Remember kids, there is no ice skating allowed on park waterways. Thank goodness it’s more spacious than Bryant. $5, $5 skate rental.
