Basically Remember the Titans if, instead of a bunch of old bearded men in the clouds, the Titans were a team of young women in shoulder pads. Put more clearly, young gender-bending company Half Straddle has put together a play about a high school football team in which everyone — players, students, teachers, coaches — is female. Signifiers of small-town Americana like that old trope of the quarterback dating the head cheerleader take on new meaning with this all-female cast.
