Using family drama to explore uneasy tensions between racial identity, cultural preservation and assimilation, this new play opens as an African American family’s father returns after a nearly ten-year-long absence. The entire family unit is thrown into disarray, but the father’s return i especially troubling for a Chinese boy the family adopted days before he father first disappeared.
