It’s been a relatively quiet year for relatively quiet British songwriter James Blake. He released an EP in January that cleared the decks from his breakout 2011, dashed off some collaborative singles and some minor works and remixes under his Harmonimix alias. But you have to assume that he’s readying another major statement by now, some new variation on his dubstep-for-the-supper-club sound that's likely more subtle than the rave-y American version of British bass music that’s now reached a (probably fleeting) peak-disco level of popularity.
