In this spectacular show of large-scale mixed media works, Hyde has photographed small sections of two semi-Cubist figurative pieces by Stuart Davis, printed these fragments in very enlarged detail to the point that they become abstract and practically minimalist, and then added his own linear compositions. The superimposition of colors and materials is very subtle, tricking the eye into distinguishing between foreground and background, paint and photo, smoothness and texture.
