Jens Lekman hasn’t played New York in years. If we remember correctly, the last time he was on stage here at all, it was at a BrooklynVegan CMJ showcase in maybe 2008, and even then, it was just for a really silly DJ set. So it makes sense that when these two shows were announced (he’s playing tomorrow night too), they sold out before most people even knew they had been announced. This is what happens when you are adorable and write really smart, catchy songs and tell super funny stories.
