Henrik Ibsen's penultimate play portrays a couple's final dissolution eight years after the title character is released from prison where the disgraced banker served a sentence for embezzlement. In this new adaptation from Dublin's Abbey Theatre, Alan Rickman and Fiona Shaw play the couple in pitched battle over their son, a conflict only made worse when Mr. Borkman's mistress comes calling.
