This is an odd grouping: abstract sculptor Jonathan Butt's latest work creates shell-like perforated wooden exteriors through which wooden tubes are wormed; Jeni Spota's paintings are so thickly applied that they border on sculpture, whether they portray abstract patterns or figurative Renaissance-evoking scenes; and Cal Crawford used a .38 Smith & Wesson to shoot holes into pillowcases in his apartment (sorry neighbors!), and has hung the perforated pillow cases here. Connections between the three are yours to make.
