In two sculptural installations based on eighteenth-century French rooms from the Met's collection the Icelandic artist turns historical architecture in on itself and then unravels it: one sculpture presents a sealed-off pristine white interior glimpsed only through one-way mirrors; the other has the same interior unwinding and shrinking in the pattern of a snail's shell.
