John Hurt stars in this reprise of Dublin's Gate Theater's production of Samuel Beckett's contemplative one-act one-man play about Krapp, now 69, listening to recordings of his 39-year-old self before launching into the bitter memories they evoke. We can't think of a more empathetic actor to portray Beckett's heavily autobiographic regretful senior.
