We're pretty fascinated by the strange surfaces, surreal textures and unexpected colors that result from peeling, stretching and hanging layers of half-dried paint, something Kris Sheifele does incredibly well too. Her wall-mounted sheets and strands of dried acrylic paint resemble some lush, smooth textile with interminable layers in all kinds of colors: leathery, fluid, precious and powerful all at once.
