Capping a year-long celebration of late La MaMa founder Ellen Stewart's life, work and legacy is an encore presentation—following a premiere in October—of this musical tribute lovingly quilted together by Elizabeth Swados from Stewart's own words as well as the stories of her friends and colleagues from the last 50 years. It offers a kind of micro-history of the Downtown performance scene, of which Stewart was one of the most essentially parts.
