One the city's two major puppet play fests (the other being at St. Ann's in spring), this year La MaMa has a distinctly Polish biography flavor. Why so specific? Well, the two Polish companies headlining the series, Bialystok Puppet Theatre and Wiczy Theatre, will be performing bios of Fryderyk Chopin and Marlene Dietrich. The four other pieces in the series, though neither Polish nor strictly biographical, promise equally dexterous drama.
