The New York-based sculptor has been carving out her own unique niche since the mid-60s, when she rejected minimalist to create bright, bold, intensely textural blobs of paint and polyurethane. Those works are on view here as well as provocative pieces from ensuing decades, making for her first hometown retrospective ever, one that does full justice to the breadth and significance of her work.
