This odd pairing of modern and modernized theater kicks off with an updated version of Euripides’s play about Medea, set at the Corinthian, a trailer park in the Midwest. Both a Greek tragedy and a dreary slice of heartland realism, Will Le Vasseur’s adaptation also adds a supernatural twist to the story of the struggling single mom. The evening’s second play, by Chekhov, has an aging actor confronting the legacy of a long-lost career on an empty stage.
