Marion Peck and Brad Woodfin

Wednesdays-Sundays. Continues through Feb. 5 2011

We’d like to think that Marion Peck’s fairy tale-like re-imaginings of art history-alluding tableaux and classical portraits of cartoonish characters transcend their inherent cuteness to become genuinely creepy, but perhaps that’s just wishful thinking. Brad Woodfin’s animal portraits, meanwhile, combine a near scientific precision with ominous presentation, each critter standing attentively against a deep black backdrop, staring at the viewer. Definitely creepy-cute.
