The point of departure in this summer group show is the human figure, and all six artists go in very distinct directions from this common starting place. There’s the subtle melancholy of Reuben Negron’s surprising and sexualized figurative watercolors; the scraped away and emotionally raw nude portraits of Jenny Morgan; the fantastic and imaginative paintings of Alison Bickle that seem to act on their subjects’ dreams; and the hilariously irreverent and lush (almost Koonsian) Pop mashups of Robin Williams (the painter, not the comedian).
