The German self-styled art star Kippenberger died in 1997 at the age of 44, and yet in that truncated career he managed to create a sweeping catalog of works ranging from exhibition posters, paintings, furniture design and installations. Massive yet by no means complete, this multi-floor MoMA retrospective takes a first stab at chronicling the provocative artist's oeuvre.
