While college kids are clamoring to see The xx, Housing Works offers refuge to indie-rock old-schoolers as Mac McCaughan and Laura Ballance, co-founders of venerable indie label Merge Records (and the band Superchunk), will read from Our Noise, John Cook's behind-the-scenes look at "the label that got big and stayed small." Then they'll perform songs by Merge bands (Spoon?! Neutral Milk Hotel?! Arcade Fire?!), and you'll quietly ruminate on how MGMT might be ruining your life.
