To celebrate what would have been the King of Pop's 51st birthday, filmmaker Spike Lee is throwing a little get together at Nethermead Meadow in Prospect Park (moved from its original location in Fort Greene Park) for an expected crowd of 10,000. Borough president, the lovable Marty Markowitz, will be on hand to officially proclaim it MJ Day, then its an all-out dance party to DJ Spinna's Michael Jackson jams. In Lee's words: "All over the world, people are going to be celebrating his birthday. But he's going to hear Brooklyn; Brooklyn is going to be in the house. Deep." Happy Birthday, Mike.
