The photographer turns her attention to books in this new multimedia installation, which incorporates video, photography, prints and a spectacular installation of books on the floor, binding facing upwards, serving as a kind of carpeting. The subject linking all the disparate literary imagery is the common use of books as a shorthand signifier of intelligence in pop culture. The various images of books are taken from the backdrops, some faker than others, of various pop culture texts.
