We're no economists, but this sounds fascinatingly shady: microcredit involves lending people in developing countries with almost no money or way of making money small amounts of cash, generally to jump-start entrepreneurial ventures. Its inventor won the Nobel Peace Prize, its abuse has been tied to all kinds of financial disasters, and likened to human rights abuses, as you'll discover (while laughing, no less) in Ma-Yi Theater's premiere production of Michael Lew's comedy on the subject.
