Bushwick art collective Pass Kontrol projects themselves into the ultimate futuristic indie fantasy: In an Orwellian future where the world’s seven biggest corporations have fused into MediaCorps and set up a global network of shiny, sparkly, bourgeois franchise metropolises called New Hope City, three friends and their cyborg buddy broadcast a pirate radio station from the barren Wasteland, the desolate region beyond the Outskirts that stretches for miles until the next New Hope City. The result, we imagine, will be a vaguely Michel Gondrian DIY sci-fi musical. (Download a free EP of music featured in the play here.)
