New York Guitar Festival: Silent Films/Live Guitars

Thu., Jan. 21, 8 p.m. 2010; SOLD OUT
Now in its 10th year, the New York Guitar Festival sees Justin Vernon, he of snowy cabins and beard envy, improvising a score to Charlie Chaplin's One A.M., while Steve Kimock, he of jazz/funk/rock band Zero, takes on Buster Keaton's Cops. One guy is in Bon Iver, the other one Jerry Garcia called his favorite guitarist. Not bad.
