The impulse is to chuckle a little whenever the kitschy Americana of painter and illustrator Norman Rockwell is mentioned (especially when it's all on loan from kitsch-purveyors Steven Spielberg and George Lucas), and yet by all accounts this is a top-notch show that sheds light on the elaborate production process of one of the best-known American artists.
