The fall theater season is full of Dream Team collabos like this one: Rebecca Taichman directing Sarah Ruhl’s adaptation of Virginia Woolf’s historical gender-bender. Orlando, a young Elizabethan man who’s decided not to grow old (you could do that back then) wakes up one morning to discover that this forever-young lad’s a lady. Things go surprisingly well thereafter — Woolf must have been stocking up her pessimism to write A Room of One's Own the following year.
