With The Vaccines sauntering into NYC later this week to play to 3,000-strong at Terminal 5, Palma Violets step in to fill the shoes of guitar-driven Brit rock band that still sounds scruffy enough to be tagged "DIY" despite the recent Rough Trade inking and unrelenting NME praise. (Their song "Best of Friends" won the mag's top spot in its "Best Tracks of 2012" rankings.)
