Some things are just made for each other. Take, for example, Jagjaguwar label mates Parts and Labor and Pterodactyl, who are going on tour together to promote P&L’s excellent new album, Constant Future. Not only are both bands based in Brooklyn, their deeply ingrained pop sensibilities are juxtaposed with a love to experiment, typically chaotically. Things get even more best friends-like between the two bands tonight as Pterodactyl’s guitarist Joe Kremer will sit in on Parts and Labor’s set, while Parts and Labor’s keyboard/electronics man Dan Friel will lend a hand during Pterodactyl’s. Aww.
