We’re still at least a little confused as to what Patti Smith’s planned tribute performance to Andy Warhol will actually entail. But, as part of the Met’s high-wattage fall Warhol exhibit, most anything she does will feel awfully glamorous. Also: The fact that this show is “made possible” by Campbell Soup Co. adds a deeper layer of complication into the tangle of Pop Art depicting real-life corporate influence feeding right back into modern art that we find delicious (if a bit too salty)
