Ron Padgett is a poet, essayist, fiction writer, and translator of over a dozen books. His poetry collections include How to Be Perfect (Coffee House Press, 2007), Great Balls of Fire (1990), and Poems I Guess I Wrote (C U Z Editions, 2001). He was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship in 1965, and has received grants and awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York State Council on the Arts, and Columbia University’s Translation Center.
Katha Pollitt is a poet, essayist, and critic best known for her long-running column in The Nation magazine. Her poetry collections include The Mind Body Problem: Poems (Random House, 2009), and Antarctic Traveller (Knopf, 1982), winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award. Pollitt has received grants and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Guggenheim Foundation.
