In town for two nights following their All Tomorrow’s Parties stop Upstate, the mighty trip-hop icons Portishead are welcome visitors on their first North American tour in over a decade. 2008’s amazing comeback record Third will only sound better and better as we get hip-deep into fall, and much of its running order will likely be represented in these two shows. No matter what, you will be in a room where Beth Gibbons is singing. We recommend wearing some sort of Gallagher-concert poncho to shield yourself from all those hearts exploding.
