Negrón generates entire narratives, relationships and personal back-stories out of glances, stances and body language in quiet, melancholic scenes of couples before, during or after sex. These paintings unfold in brilliant areas of contrasting light and color, some corners given over to stark monochromes while others bear the unnatural tint of neon lights, tattoos wallpaper and bed sheets.
