In "ant--bird," a performance he did this summer on the Staten Island waterfront, Andrews crouched at the center of a ritualistic circle of candles, beating a board with a heartbeat-like rhythm as passersby joined him. The centerpiece of his new show will be "ant--bird 2," and include a giant ant farm.
