After decades spent being underappreciated, Roky Erickson is now rightly hailed as a legend of psychedelic rock. The records he made in the late 60s with The 13th Floor Elevators have been an inspiration for several waves of neo-garage rockers, including his own son, Jegar, who leads opening band Hounds of Baskerville. And while local rockers Nude Beach can’t claim a tie that close to Erickson, they definitely won’t harsh anyone’s steady-rockin’ vibe.
